Harvest Monday

Two and a half weeks into spring........ a few sunny days but still lots of rain and with the longer days of sunlight most plants are starting to really move now...............
There's sugar snap peas climbing up their wire support, potato leaves emerging, the first flowers on strawberry plants............
This week there has been plenty of silver beet and bunching onions to pick.

Also still picking the cabbage tops/leaves from my Italian cabbage.

I have been enjoying harvesting lovely fresh leaves of Thyme, Parsley, Rosemary and Oregano perfect chopped in scrambled eggs and quiche.

This week I picked the last of the beetroot planted way back in April and made beetroot relish...................

And the girls keep a laying................. this week count 45 !

Love joining in with Daphne at Daphne's Dandelions and catching up with fellow gardener's and their weekly harvests from around the globe.

  1. You have super girls! I'll be looking forward to your gardening results since mine is beginning to slow down...somewhat. I've seen the words silver beet so many, many times within the past 2 months that I had to get seeds and try them myself. With any luck (no slugfestation), I'll have some to harvest in a few months.

  3. You are heading into spring and I am heading into winter. 45 eggs in one week, that's an awful lot of eggs. What are going to do with them?
