Monday's Harvest

Monday's Harvest hosted by Daphne at Daphne's Dandelions is a great way to take a peek at what others are harvesting from their Gardens........

Yesterday's harvest ( running a bit late this week) was a small one.

Kale , Mizuna, Yellow pear and Tigerella tomatoes.      A sprig of rosemary which is just coming into flower.

Within my local community there are lots of older farms with fruit trees and thanks to the local bird population there are also lots of apple trees growing along quiet country lanes, perfect for a quick stop on the way home from work or a afternoon stroll.
Perfect cooking apples for pies or stewed to go with of muesli and yogurt for breakfast.

  1. I love apples, they are my favourite fruit when they are new seasons and nice and tart and tangy. Yours look perfect! I think I need to go for a drive....

  3. Apples are my main stay fruit. I eat more than one a day and never get tired of them as long as they are crisp and juicy, can't stand the mushy kinds. Italy was so great when I went there; tons of fruit trees and bushes of all sorts all along the roads, just stop and pick!

  4. Your apples and tomatoes make my mouth water. I'd love to be able to tell you how my garlic is doing but the ground is still frozen and it's a blizzard today. It'll be about 5 weeks before we see it sprout. I've grown it two other years and it is fantastic. It's mostly hard neck with a little bit of soft neck.

  5. Nice harvest! My yellow pear tomato plants just sprouted, so it's going to be awhile before I will be eating any. It's interesting to see what's growing in your part of the world.

  6. What sits on that plate is enough for a wondeful omelette, and I'm guessing that those eggs are from your hens? We are playing around with the idea of getting an apple tree as we go through atleast 2.5 kilos every week...the most popular fruit in our house!

  8. Oh wow apples by the side of the road, free and organic we'd like those here since that's the most eaten fruit in our house. I'm so glad to hear that you are enjoying your yoga too, it is so calming isn't it? Have a great week. :)
